So...

It happened. :) Cam and I are officially engaged! I can't imagine a more perfect person to share my life with forever! Excuse the cheese... but it's necessary!

It went a little something like this.. (I loaded the photos backwards so you'll have to read it from bottom to top)
The temporary"Rock".... Our ring isn't completely finished so we have this lovely little placement holder for the time being. Cedar Canyon creep hiding in the bushes :) Love him.

Cam was suppose to be golfing, so when Kendra (our future sister-in-law) and Sadie (Cam's youngest sister) called me up to go for a walk up the canyon I didn't think anything of it. Cam and I were meeting up at 8 so I told the girls we couldn't be too long and a couple times I told them I thought we should turn around so I wouldn't be late (which is unusual for me because punctuality is not something I'm usually so concerned about) Thankfully Sadie was adament about getting to the waterfall and made me go all the way up. Cam had laid roses on a bench that sat on a ledge the overlooked the waterfall and hid behind a bush waiting for us to show up. It sounded so cute when he told me later how he'd put it together, but I never got a chance to see it because I took a little trail to the side of the ledge which took me to the waterfall. When I noticed Kendra and Sadie weren't behind me anymore I started looking around and saw Cam standing at the top of the ledge with roses in his hand. He looked great all dressed up, but I was so shocked I just said, "Cam you aren't golfing!" Then it hit me what was going on and I started giggling like a blithering idiot and began to do a little nervous dance. He popped the question and it was the greatest day of my life! We are so excited!

This is my new goal. Look like Jennifer Aniston. Easy Enough :) Seriously, I love this campaign by Smart Water. Great photography always wins me over, and this is an incredible photo. Therefore.... I will be doing yoga everyday from now on..

Johnson Family. You and your little boy make my heart smile :) Thank you so much for letting me capture these shots. Tate is the most adorable boy!

I haven't been able to put photos up for awhile for some reason, my computer just wasn't a fan of that. But today is a good day, so enjoy looking at these photos. I will be getting more up soon.

After seeing numerous rave reviews for this flick, I was convinced I needed to see it. Thought seriously about buying it even before seeing it but decided that was too risky... I mean, About a Boy, which was made by the same people was a good movie and all, but not one I would ever own.
So last night when Justin and I were deciding which movie we should watch (and after a failed attempt to get him to surrender and just watch New Moon because deep down I KNOW he really really wants to) I told him we should get <----- that fantastic movie.
So we did.
I loved it.
He was indifferent.
The story line, although kind of disgusting because she is so little and he is a shady old man and gets her to fall in love with him, was really really intriguing. I was completely mesmerized by her performance... also the colors in the film and the costumes were phenomenal. Totally French, totally nostalgic, totally how I should start dressing....

Anyways... thought you should know.

Also thought you should know, my home computer is being a real jerk about letting me upload the many many photos I have taken the last two months. So stay tuned... eventually you will see some more lovely photos of some more lovely people.

P.S. Linzee if you are reading this, You HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. (excuse the demand, but in order for us to be sisters, this is just something you are going to have to do. Thanks.)

Today is the day I figured out how lucky I am to have the passion that I have! I mean... I guess I sort of always knew I loved it... but today I'm just letting the rest of the world know. I love getting excited about getting that perfect shot, with all the right emotion and the incredible lighting and everything else that goes into capturing a moment that will forever stand still in time.

Christmas with the Cottams...again!

Taking Christmas pictures with Kyle and Meaghan was cool... no, it was freezing, but these two heated things up with there steamy kisses! Ok, not really, it remained pretty dang cold, but like always they were fun to shoot. This is the second year they've let me take their pictures to send out in their Christmas cards. I guess kissing is what you do to cope with the cold! Thanks Meg for making this happen again! Can't wait til next year ;)

My first REAL celebration of independence

I thought I had lived a pretty alright life up until I ventured out into the deseret oasis commonly known as Delta, Utah for the fourth of July. What I found out was that I was simply pretending to live. Thankfully I learned what a good life is all about from them "Delda" folk!

Ok, ok my life was actually really superb before, but that little four day hiatus to Delta was surely journal entry material.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the people of Delta! Reasons why:
1. They easily make the list of top five friendliest towns /people existing on earth. I'm talking Delta is a modern day "Enoch" as in, (and if I'm wrong about this reference it's mostly because I was the little girl in primary who didn't listen and taunted the kids who sat in front of or beside me and had to be taken out in the hall so I wouldn't interupt any spiritual learning) they could be lifted up right now in all their glory and would be completely deserving!
2. Alco.
3. You have to be going to Delta. It's a destination stop. Probably the greatest.
4. So many fields, so many old buildings. Photographer's dream.
5. They represent America the way it should be. True and Genuine. Just like a good pair of blue jeans.

Thank you so much Jeffery Family and Droubay Family for welcoming me into your homes and families like I was your own. Mckenna, you're the best friend/listener/future business partner I could ever imagine. Seriously, I know that last sentence was a lot of cheese, and even though I am a little ticked I can't ever borrow your shoes because I'm not a keebler elf, I really do feel so lucky to know you and to have you in my life!

So I have a new plan for my life practically everyday, BUT, THIS IS POSSIBLY THE BEST IDEA EVA!! I saw this bike posted on the "Madsen Cycle's" site and came up with a brilliant new business plan! This upcoming spring I will be ordering fresh flowers and bundeling them to sell for spring lovers/anyone else particulary fond of creme de la creme blossoms that sprinkle our earth with color! ahh!!!! I just would love to ride this around!

I'd be riding in heaven if I got this bike................

I decided to go out and about this Sunday, camera in hand, to shoot some new pictures. I ended up on the north end of town in the beautiful ghetto. I liked the railroad and the old smoke stacks because they were just looked so sad and I loved it! And the lighting was fabulous! As I was walking back to my car, I just happened to notice what was on the ground around me... little shoes! How creepy...But I thought it was kind a sweet so I snapped some shots.
